My practice centers on abstract paintings and observational drawings inspired by the urban landscapes of San Francisco, where I’ve lived for three years; the East Bay, where I spent a decade; and Los Angeles, where I was born. My colored pencils render the objects, signage, and people I see throughout these California cities that I call home. In contrast, my abstract paintings convey a poetic expression of my surroundings, where shapes and colors stand in for memories and a sense of place. I’m interested in how indelible moments together form a city, an identity, an experience. Across styles, I intend to explore quiet moments and passed-over spaces that transform my personal interior into a deeply felt landscape.

I received my BA in Art Practice from the University of California, Berkeley in 2016. From 2020 to 2021, I held a screen-printing fellowship at Kala Art Institute. From 2017 to 2018, I was awarded the Blau-Gold Fellowship at Root Division. I have shown work at HIT Gallery, Soft Times, Mini Mart, Crisis Club, and Root Division.
